These principles have been used as a framework to guide the company towards improved performance.

ISO 14001 : 2015 Certification

Some of the benefits include:

  • Implement, maintain and improve an environmental management system
  • Assure itself of its conformance with its own stated environmental policy (those policy commitments of course must be made)
  • Demonstrate conformance
  • Ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations
  • Seek certification of its environmental management system by an external third party organization
  • Make a self-determination of conformance

ISO 14001 is an environmental management standard. It was first published in 1996 and specifies the actual requirements for an environmental management system.

It applies to those environmental aspects which the organization has control and over which it can be expected to have an influence.

ISO 14001 is often seen as the corner stone standard of the ISO 14000 series. However, it is not only the most well known, but is the only ISO 14000 standard against which it is currently possible to be certified by an external certification authority.

ISO 45001 : 2018 Certification

Some of the benefits include:

  • Improving its ability to respond to regulatory compliance issues
  • Reducing the overall costs of incidents
  • Reducing downtime and the costs of disruption to operations
  • Reducing the cost of insurance premiums
  • Reducing absenteeism and employee turnover rates
  • Recognition for having achieved an international benchmark (which may in turn influence customers who are concerned about their social responsibilities)

According to the International Labour Organization (ILO), work-related accidents and illnesses continue to be at a high level. Besides the negative impacts on the families of those affected, this results in considerable costs for individual companies and for the economy as a whole. ISO 45001 is the first worldwide international standard for occupational health and safety. It provides a framework to enable all organizations – regardless of size or sector – to reduce workplace risk in a proactive way, and to demonstrably improve health and wellbeing at work.
